Presented by Dr. Christine Hubbard, President of the North Texas Community College Consortium This module defines followership, explains its symbiotic relationship with leadership, and outlines followership roles, types of followership, and how to cultivate followership in higher education.

These modules offer a guide to professional behavior and tips for developing interpersonal communication skills, exploring the cultural dimensions of communication using Hofstede’s 6---D Model, and providing suggestions for effective conflict orientation using Kilmann and Thomas’ Five Conflict Handling Modes.

We will categorize leadership theories based on emphasis, ranging from leader-centric to follower-centric and focuses on transformational leadership in higher education and its impact on faculty job satisfaction.
