In education today, we may find chapter outcomes in our text books and course outcomes in our syllabus, but do we think about what our true goals are for our students each and every class? This online learning module outlines why we need solid, measurable, and scaffolding outcomes at every level of our teaching. We break down the parts of a well written outcome. We will also demonstrate how to easily write outcomes for every level: program, course, module, using University of Central Florida's Online Objective Builder. Finally, we will talk about assessment and program improvement based on assessment. This short module can markedly improve your teaching and student performance by helping you communicate to your students what the target is and how to achieve a higher score.
