We are very excited to have finally launched our new website design after almost a full year in development. You'll see things are looking pretty good around here!
Last year the STARLINK team decided it was time for an upgrade. Admittedly, we were a little hesitant about the idea at first because we knew what a large undertaking it would be. We also knew that we needed to meet the needs of all of our members and we didn't want to cause any unrest. To completely re-design, re-create, and move everything and everyone over to a new design and code base was a huge learning experience for our in-house web guru, Clay Binion. He did a great job and works every day to continue to enhance the site.
A few of our goals with the new website were to make it faster, easier to navigate for users, and easier for us to manage/update. We also wanted to integrate professional development training modules, so that we could bring our members an enhanced professional development experience. Most of all, we wanted to help our members and potential members get to know us better. If you take a look around the site I think you'll get a pretty good idea of who we are and what we do as a company. Nichole Vance and Clay Binion took care of the design and integration, so everything you see from conception to completion is their handiwork.
In the end it has helped us grow as a team and has allowed us to reach out and interact with our growing member base. We have solicited feedback and advice, produced training videos on how-to use the new site and professional development modules, conducted teaching webinars for anyone not so sure about all the changes, and have worked with a behind the scenes team to bring individualized dashboards to all of our registered users. Wow, just typing all of this makes me exhausted!
We are excited to bring you this new online professional development site - because that's really what we're here to do. We feel good about the fact that our website has the ability to facilitate that much better as well.
