About this Course

Emphasizing learning styles are the most effective route to addressing diversity in the classroom. Plus, when students know their intellectual strengths, they are empowered to actively take responsibility for their own learning. The majority of college students do not learn in the ways most faculty teach, so in this session faculty are challenged to design courses that recognize and respond to a diversity of learning styles. Our experts explain how to use the theories of Multiple Intelligences and personality types to facilitate student success, and provide tools to allow faculty to assess their teaching in terms of Learning Styles. They demonstrate teaching methodologies that help students best utilize each of their multiple intelligence, and describe specific study skills to help students learn most effectively.
