In this online learning module, you’ll learn the Send/Pass a Problem cooperative learning strategy and consider some of the benefits of using technology for Send/Pass a Problem. We’ll look at two different types of software – an app and a wiki – that you might consider using for Send/Pass a Problem, to help you evaluate which type would work best for your class. Using Evernote® and a PBWorks™ wiki as examples, we’ll discuss creating accounts, organizing the workspace, and creating the questions to share with the class. Then we’ll go through each step in the learning activity, as students reflect on the question and collaborate with their partners to create their responses to each problem, then synthesize all of the groups’ responses into a final shared document.
 
By the end of this learning module, the learner will be able to:
 
•  Evaluate value of using technology for Send/Pass a Problem cooperative learning activity
 
•  Understand differences between using an app and a wiki for Send/Pass a Problem
 
•  Given an outcome, the instructor will revise it to include all aspects of a measurable outcome.
 
•  Evaluate which application/service for Send/Pass a Problem would be most effective for your students
 
• Create a shared space for students to collaborate and evaluate each others’ work
