About this Course

Adults returning to college, first-generation students, veterans returning, under-served populations – in recent years, American higher education is experiencing a rapid growth of “non-traditional” learners.  This trend is predicted to steadily grow into the foreseeable future, bringing a variety of learning styles, life experience, learning needs, and diversity to the classroom. A “one size fits all” approach in teaching strategies will certainly lead to failure.  What makes an effective teacher?  What do the best teachers do to ensure student success?  STARLINK interviews experts from around the country to explore best practices, challenges, and strategies regarding effective teaching strategies.
